When you first arrive on your brand new Normandy ship, you'll be free to explore, to meet your crew and get used to your new surroundings. Amongst the people you will meet will be a familiar face, a human female by the name of Dr. Chakwas. Dr. Chakwas is an Alliance veteran, and served with you on board the old Normandy (she also has a plethora of combat-related experience elsewhere). When you speak with her, you can ask her if she has everything she needs. She won't complain at all, though she'll remark that she could use her liquor of choice for the voyage ahead, a brandy known as Serrice Ice Brandy. Agree to pick it up for her if you see it, and you'll acquire this side quest.

Acquiring the Serrice Ice Brandy is about as easy as it gets, though it will require a bit of legwork, and perhaps some credits as well. To find this liquor, head to the Citadel, and take a walk to the southeastern end of the map, where you'll find a bar known as the Dark Star Lounge. Head on into the bar, and seek out a non-descript computer terminal along the bar at the center of the lounge. The only goods this bar sells, coincidentally, is Serrice Ice Brandy. Opt to buy the brandy, and with it in your possession, you can head back to the Normandy at your leisure to deliver the goods to the eager Dr. Chakwas.

When you return to the Normandy and find Dr. Chakwas in her lab, report to her that you've acquired the brandy she's requested. After thanking you and vowing to not let this bottle go to waste like she did the last one, she'll offer to open up the bottle and have a drink with you. You can turn her down if you want, but there's really no reason to. Have a conversation with her, drink some liquor, and at the end, make a toast. After this scene concludes, you'll see Dr. Chakwas in a drinking-induced coma on a nearby bed, at which point this side quest will have come to a rather humorous and amusing end. Humorously, when you visit her later on, she'll apologize for getting drunk with you. Don't be sorry, Dr. Chakwas!

Brandy is a hugely diverse umbrella term in the world of spirits, but a deliciously flavoursome one at that. To get technical, largely speaking, to be classified as a brandy, the base ingredient of the spirit needs to be grape-based (with the exception of Eaux de Vie and fruit brandies such calvados, which uses apples or pears).

Brandy is a broad term. The most ubiquitous brandies we drink are distilled from wine. However, this definition would exclude a number of brandy variations, such as grappa. To put it simply: brandy is a spirit made by distilling fruit, as opposed to whisky, which is made from grains and cereals.

There are few brandies on the market that can boast a reputation comparable to St-Rémy XO. The world first sipped this back in 1990, and the bottle has gone on to win countless awards in the decades since. Presented in a striking black bottle, this is arguably the best-value brandy on the market, often coming in under 25. Oak and vanilla are lathered with honey on the nose, with each aroma carried through to the palate and met with brown sugar and ginger, chewy figs and cracks of pepper.

Considering brandy is historically intertwined with winemaking, it makes sense that location is of vital importance when deciding which tipple to opt for here. Frapin is produced in the Grande Champagne region, a sector of the Cognac region that many would argue is its finest.

Hine is somewhat reinventing the direction of cognac, away from the traditional view of a brandy balloon glass, cigar pairing and dusty leather armchair. As fine as these things might be under the right circumstances, a lighter, more refreshing side to cognac is on the rise and H By Hine has been designed with the cognac cocktail in mind, especially long drinks, where it excels. Try it over ice, combined with ginger ale and a slice of orange zest and be prepared to be converted.

Every decision we made, from the selection of grape varieties, distillationtechniques, distillates and the final blend, was to ensure Shakmat is arefined, extraordinary spirit which preserves the DNA of an authenticArmenian brandy.

For a grape brandy to be labelled Cognac, it must be made in the Cognac region.Taking advantage of its popularity in Russia during the late 19th century,Armenian brandy was also labelled Konyak (the Armenian spelling of Cognac). For a brief time, one Armenian producer, Nikolay Shustov, did have the rightto label it Cognac (this was after winning the Grand Prix Award in Paris, in1900).

All Australian brandy and French organic cognacs are made from grapes unless they are marked as made from other fruits. At Harris Organic we use organic grapes to make Pisco and Eau de vie organic brandies. The organic grape wine is twice distilled from a preservative-free wine made especially from Pedro Ximenez and other organic grapes. The higher alcohols in the brandy spirit are the largest group of volatile compounds found in brandy, giving them their distinctive aroma, flavour and primary characteristics.

Australian brandy is made from grape wine that has been distilled and then aged in oak barrels. The grapes used to make the wine can come from various wine-growing regions throughout Australia, but they are typically from warmer climates, such as the Swan Valley wine region. 041b061a72
