Best way to identify coins found in an old attic?
While cleaning my parents’ attic I found a tin box full of mixed coins from the 1940s. Some are from different countries. How can I figure out what they are?

Attic finds like this are always fun. The easiest modern approach is photographing both sides of each coin and running them through a free coin identifier app. It gives instant information on origin, rarity, and current market prices. I spent a relaxing weekend identifying my family’s old coins with it and learned so much about history in the process. Even found one coin that was worth keeping in a collection.
